Pre-HUD Inspection Areas of Improvement

Under HUD Housekeeping Standards, please ensure the following:

• Thoroughly clean bathtubs, bathroom sinks, toilets, stoves, and range hoods.
• For your safety and the safety of all residents, do not place any items on, in, or near the stove, as this poses a fire hazard. 
• Keep all doors and windows clear of obstructions. Do not place items behind doors or block windows to ensure safe exit routes in case of an emergency. 
• Do not tamper with smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. If EHA staff find detectors missing, disabled, or without batteries, the resident, will be fined. 
• Electrical panels must remain accessible at all times. Do not place items in front of or blocking the panels, as maintenance staff and HUD inspectors require access. Please also clean the panels from any roach or other pest feces.
