Easley Community Garden - End-of-Year Thank You!
Dear Gardeners, Neighbors, and Friends, As the vibrant colors of fall settle over Easley and our first full season comes to a close, we want to extend a huge thank you to every single one of you for your incredible participation in the Easley Community Garden! Together, we built something truly special:
- Fabric planters filled with fresh veggies
- Shared harvest that nourished families, and our sweet potato harvest was awesome!
- New skills learned, friendships formed, and joy in every row
Your hands, your ideas, and your dedication MADE this garden thrive. Special Shout-Outs - Our Garden Heroes!
- A special thank you to Pam and Angela for keeping the garden alive during the hot summer days with consistent watering. Your dedication saved our crops!
- A HUGE thank you to Shelly and Rebecca for lovingly winterizing our ferns and flowers-tucking them in safely until they bloom again next spring. Your care keeps the beauty alive!
- Thank you, Shelly, for providing winter coverings for our crops to protect them from frosty nights.
- Mrs. Angela, thank you for helping to install protective netting around the garden to deter our sneaky "muncher"!
- EHA and B.O.C. I can't thank you enough for your support and donations to the program!
Looking Ahead to Winter & Spring
We're keeping our cold-hardy crops (kale, collards, and more) outdoors to brave the chill and provide fresh greens through the winter. The rest of the garden will be winterized by adding aged potting soil to the raised beds-preparing rich, ready-to-plant soil for a strong comeback in spring. Workshops will continue! We'll keep the learning going with hands-on workshops every Monday and Thursday from 4:00-5:00 PM until mid-December. Then, the full program will resume in spring with fresh plans, new crops, and more community fun. Join Our Email List - Stay in the Healthy Loop! Send an email, add Healthy Loop in the subject line, include Name, apartment number, and phone number. Now you're a part of the Eat Well Live Well Foundation EHA Group! You'll receive seasonal recipes using garden-fresh ingredients, healthy holiday cooking ideas, tips for soups, teas, stews, and more. Also, share ideas, ask questions, and connect with fellow neighbors.
Don't miss out-stay inspired and nourished all winter long! Stay tuned for updates, winter care tips, and details on our 2026 season-bigger, greener, and even more delicious! Thank you for growing with us.
See you in the garden next year!
With gratitude,
